HEY GIRLS-QUESTION ON MONTHLY VISITOR????
Hey Girls,
I am concerned. Since the surgery, my periods seem to be getting very heavy and lots of blood. Does anyone know why??? I am going next Wednesday for my annual, is this due to my diet changing. Thats what my mom and husband think.
I was just curious, I am hoping its nothing more than that, but boy I am getting bad cramps again like when I was young and heavy heavy bleeding.
This is probably nothing to worry about, but I thought I would ask all my friends here on the CT Board.
ALSO GOOD NEWS!!!! I have lost 54.5lbs so far, and I am on normal foods now. I am so excited. I actually was able to cross my legs for the first time, get off the floor with no help and the greatest feeling was fitting in a booth at the dinner, also my tummy doesn't touch the car steering wheel anymore either. These are little things, but they make me so happy about myself.
HIP HIP HOORAY!!! I am so glad I made this decision.

I'm surprised no other ladies have answered you! It is normal to have changes, sometimes extreme, in your cycle due to rapid weight loss. It seriously effects your hormones- specifically estrogen, which in turn effects your cycle.
You might consider a form of BC if it gets uncomfortable for you.
Please DO speak with your GYN about it and make sure he/she understands gastric bypass. Bring pamphlets if you have to! I'm always amazed at the number of medical professionals who have no concept.

I do not know about the period question (my surgery is in two days) but I did want to comment on the "little things". Those are not little things to be happy about they are great big ones that I for one can not wait until I experience. How wonderful you must feel. If it were me the whole diner might have known about how much room I had 
And crossing my legs oh lordy...I can not wait to do that! I am gonna cross them from here to the moon. I can not wait to do that and do it with a skirt or dress or shorts anything that shows off my legs! Oh these are big ones! and you enjoy them.
