Pre - Op, your experience

Hi all, I am scheduled for Lap Band Surgery in New Haven on March 18th. I was told to start pre-op diet 5-7 days before surgery. What was your experience with your pre-op diets. We are put on a strict 1000 calorie diet to shrink the liver. Corgi

Hello, I just had lap band surgery on Thursday 3/3 and I had to do a liquid diet for 2 weeks before the surgery. Of course all doctor's do it differently so some are just a strict diet. The key to it is that all the weight you lose before surgery makes it a lot easier for the doctor and you. Good luck with your surgery. Patty
