It's been awhile.......

I haven't been on the boards in awhile, but I really wanted to post this. This past week 2 women I've gotten to know from the boards both got the approval and dates for surgery. I can't even describe the joy in their voices and emails. They are both young and strong and just so determined to make a new life. Both had such huge obstacles to deal with and overcome just to finally get approvals. Both have strong committments to making this work and are going in eyes wide open. They are prepared and anxious to get on with it! Even though I am not on the boards much, I still keep in touch with these women and a few others that are in different stages of thier journies. This is such a reinforcment for me and as good as 10 support group meetings. It keeps it fresh for me and helps me realize that even though I've had my own obstacles, I still wouldn't trade my decision to have this surgery. The life I led as a morbidly obese women will always be with me and I won't forget what it was like so I can keep my own eyes open. So congratulations to Phyllis and Natasha. You are both inspirations to me with your determination and spirit. I will be here for you every step of the way. Lots of love and hugs, Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, Thank you for a nice email to me privately!! I can not wait to see you soon and hopefully this summer for Gathering party!!! Phylliis and Natasha, I wish both of you big good luck and will keep both of you in my prayers for this surgery and speedy recovery after this surgery. Both of you have been waited soooo long for this moment after fighting hard with insurance company.I cannot wait to see both of you on the losing sides.
