3-month-checkup
Hi folks,
I just got back from Dr. Barba's office where I had my (five-minute
)
3-month followup.
I've lost 65 pounds since the surgery (plus 20 or so before) and I weighed 263.
Not bad, of course, but honestly, I was really wanting to be under 260. However, I'm not complaining. Well, not too much
I have to go back in one month, after my next scope (I still have an ulcer and stricture, adn they won't fix the stricture til the ulcer's gone). I am aiming to be down to 250 or below.
For the last week, I was really off my protein shakes, so I'm going to increase those and try to get in more water. It's hard to get in so much because of my job; I literally cannot drink anything for several hours a day, and then try to play catch-up when I get home.
Next move: start an exercise program. I've got a free pass to Gold's Gym and I'm trying to work up the energy to go. I think I'm the world's laziest [person.
Have a nice night,
Heather

I have an ulcer and stricture also. I'm treating the ulcer with Prevacid bid. The stricture can wait, though. Not being able to eat some foods is not necessarily a bad thing.
Exercise will really help take the weight off. Since I began on the treadmill, I've noticed a big difference in my energy level and weight loss. I'm 18 weeks post-op, and I've dropped 120 pounds. You will get there, but it will take some work. Good luck with your weight loss!
