Good Morning to everyone, Just wanted to say another big thank you to all the supporters out there. This board is a tremendous tool as well. I am feeling really terrific and will be returning to work on Monday. My question of the day is Did any of you have problems with your boss/coworkers upon returning? My subordinates have been so supportive and things have run without a hitch in my absense (only out 9 days), however my supervisor has been less than supportive preop. Just curious how people treated you upon your return to work. I am ready to go back to work and will continue to give the company my usual 150% despite my supervisor. I am actually looking forward to a regular routine. Staying at home has never been my forte. Well again, Thanks to everyone. Lise

Hi Lise, Congrats on your surgery! To answer your question, I did not tell MOST people I work with that I had WLS. I told a chosen few and the rest I didn't share it with them. For me, WLS for a very personal decision, and I only wanted to share that info. with my closest friends/co-workers and of course EVERYONE on the CT boards Good luck! JA

Hi Lise, Oh my, you're brave!!! I took 6 weeks off after my surgery, and I couldn't have imagined going back one day sooner. I felt too tired, too nauseated. I eventually learned I had an ulcer and once I started treatment I felt better, but I was so glad I had the time off. My colleagues and bosses have been outstanding. I told everyone I was having WLS, and they've all been supportive and wonderful. My only bit of advice is to listen to your body. If you're tired, don't overdo it, take a nap when you get home, go to bed early, make sure you're keeping yourself hydrated, and again, listen to what your body tells you it needs. Good luck, and congratulations on being on the losing side! Heather
