Little Victories
I just got back last night from my Florida trip. I had such a great time. It sure was nice to be in the warm weather... very hard to come back to grey sticks after being with the palm trees... but I regress. I enjoyed many little victories, starting with the airplane seats. I FIT!! with the armrests down and room to spare with the seat belt. Not only that, the tray went all the way down and there was space between it and my belly. WAHOO! My Mom brought me bathing suit shopping and I purchased a size 18 bathing suit that was teal and blue (not basic black which was a must for me pre-op) and felt pretty darn comfortable in it as I strolled along Siesta Key beach
. I sat in many booths at restaurants with room to spare and even fit my daughter on my lap while in the booth. I also wore SHORTS. I haven't worn shorts in public in years.
All in all it felt EXTRAORDINARY to feel plain ole NORMAL!!!!
thanks to all your well wishes on my fitting in post, I had a great time and it was nice to be with my Mom for a few days. Can't wait to read of all your little victories!

Hey Terri,
First of all, your words melts my heart and is so happy to hear all of good news you shared with us. It must feel good about yourself and this surgery is worth to all of us if we stick with our tools. I cannot wait to see you again on March 1 at post op meeting at Middlesex hospital. Congrats for all your goals so far
Hugs
