I am 11 days post-op and feeling pretty good. One problem is a pain on the left side of my lower back. I think it is a gas pocket. Have been walking, taking GAS-x and nothing helps. Anyone else ever have anything like this????? Thanks-Judy

Hi Judy, Yes unfortunately this is normal, they pumped alot of air into you during surgery, so it may take awhile for it to be released. Try not to take too much over the counter things, it might be bad for your tummy. If it gets worse call your surgeon and they will tell you what to use. Just take it slow and relax. Do not over do it and hopefully it will subside. Drink alot of fluids during the day too. Good luck and I hope this helped. Hugs Kim C

Hi Judy congradulations on your surgery. I did not have your problem with gas but it is very common. Many people post that heat helps...a heating pad electric blanket. Some people reported sipping hot liquids helps. Hope you are feeling better soon. Hugs angel

Hi Judy, I had a lot of problems with gas for the first three months. It was so bad one night, I thought I was going to have to go to the hospital. I took a gas X type product and that helped. Beware that the sugar alcohol in things seems to make it worse. That was what did me in. Good luck. I feel for you. JA
