Hi everyone. I have been watching this board for a few months and have benefitted by all I have read. It helped keep me going forward as I progressed through the requirements for surgery, so thank you to all. At this point, I am good to go. My date is 03/04/05. Although I am very nervous, I am excited about being on the other side. I hope to catch up with you soon. Take care. Ray

Hello Ray, Welcome to the CT family of WLS. I have been post op almost two months and everyone here has been so wonderful. There is alot of caring and compasion here. If you ever have any questions or concerns or just want to talk you will get alot of responses, believe me. Congratulations on getting your date. Good luck with everything and welcome to the losing side. Who is your doctor? What hospital will you be at? Maybe we will see you at the support groups if you are going to St Raphaels. Otherwise you will meet other members of the family here. They do alot of get togethers too which is so nice, I can't wait to go to once there are a few people I chat with I would love to meet. I live in Milford am married for 12 wonderful years and have a 10 year old daughter. How about you? My friends and family were such great support for me through all of this. I have lost 43lbs so far and I am so excited and proud of myself. Now it will be your turn. God Bless to you and I hope all goes well for you too. Take Care and Keep in Touch Hugs Kim Callahan

Hi Ray; Always glad to see another guy posting. I know ther's a bunch of us lurking around these boards, but we can use a few more "posters" along with the "lurkers". I had my surgery in March of last year, so greetings to a fellow Marcher too! It's certainly normal to be a bit nervous as the big day approaches, but you'll be on the "Losing Side" before you know it. Best of luck on the 4th and stay in touch. You'll find the people here very friendly and supportive. Take care and be well. Mike

Hi Ray, I also wanted to welcome you to our "family". This is a great board and I am glad to see that you have posted. Congratulations on your March 4th date. Don't eat too many of those last suppers before surgery! Sandy
