Tofu recipes anyone??
Hi Michelle;
My wife slices firm tofu, lightly breads it with Italian bread crumbs and browns it in a frying pan. She then serves it topped with tomato sauce. It's really tasty this way, and if you use pam or a tiny bit of olive oil in the pan, its very low- fat too! She serves it with pasta and sauce on the side. We can avoid the pasta, but it's a good meal for the whole family. Even my kids like it this way and they're very suspicious of tofu!

Thank you for the idea! It sounds really good. I'll probably try that one tomorrow night for dinner. I have some locarb Italian "crumbs", so I'll try that first.
I had my friend try tofu.. he's very picky and turned his nose up to even the idea of trying it, but once he did, the only thing he complained about was the heat from the curry! I might be able to fool him into trying my next recipe.
Thanks again!
Michelle

Hi again;
Something else you might want to try is going to one of those online recipe sites. If you like Chinese cooking, there are many recipes using tofu. I know that one of our favorites is chunks of tofu marinated in soy sauce and lightly stir fried with broccoli and garlic. When it's done you sprinkle toasted sesame seeds on top....Yum! It's a bit high in sodium because of the soy sauce, but there are low sodium soy sauces. If I can find the recipe, I'll post it for you.
Cheers
Mike
