Have a Date & a question

I'm very excited. I have a date for May 3rd for surgery. It's a little farther out than I expected (I was hoping March.) Dr B is putting me on what is called a "short list" he says that unfortunately many people get pushed off due to thier insurance denying the surgery. Because of this he says it's a very good likelyhood that I would go early. Has anyone had this happen & what kind of push up in a date did you get? My company is closing in April and where I'll have Cobra coverage I'd prefer to have my company pay for sick time. Plus this date has put my new job search on hold... PS...I found out today I'm LOADED with gallstones & will be having the little buggers removed at the same time... Thanks everyone, Mickey

Hi Mickey! Congrats on your date. Believe me, it gets here quicker than you know it! Even if you do have to wait until May. It's really good (in my opinion) to have your gallbladder out at the same time if you can. So many people develop gallstones later on, and have to go back in for surgery. At least you can get it taken care of all at once. I wish you much luck! Tammy
