Yesterday I logged my food intake on Fitday.. I cannot believe the calories and fat I am consuming!! Its a good thing I am exercising like crazy..cuz I probably would be gaining weight instead of staying the same. I am going to try to cut out my protein drink..it adds almost 200 extra calories and I need solid protein to keep me satisfied these days. I urge any of you who think your weight loss is slowing-- just log on Fitday.com for a couple days..I am sure you will realize your plateau is "self-created"..I sure did! B-hard boiled egg 6 S-protein bar 12 L-chicken salad over greens w/lite dressing S-protein bar 12 D-turkey and spinach S-apple with low carb pnut butter

Hi Joanie, I just cut my protein drink out last week, for the same reason. So far I am doing okay getting in the protein, but I STILL need to watch my calorie intake. I also track on fitday, and it really helps. I find suddenly I am hungry more frequently now. I really haven't been hungry since surgery, and before surgery I ate enough to NEVER feel hunger. I need to get used to this, to realize that it is okay to feel hunger, that I won't die if I don't eat immediately... I am working on that. I don't want to get into old bad habits of picking at food to keep hunger at bay. Like I noticed I have been tasting more frequently while cooking dinner, which is something I used to do. That needs to stop... Here is my menu for the day: B- Carb Countdown Yogurt, 12 gr S- hard boiled egg, 6 gr Water L- small green salad w/feta cheese and Lite dressing Water D- pork chop w/mushrooms, 1 tbslp. rice, and 1 tbsp. carrots S- tbsp. low carb peanut butter, and 2 tsp. havarti cheese Have a good day guys! Anne Sounds like we are living the same life! I, too, do not want to go back to old habits. I need to get more structured...and back to basics...I got over 100 gms of protein in yesterday...with way to many calories!! Joanie

Hey Joanie, I am having a real hard time on soft foods. Today I had B-1/4 cup Atkins Protein Shake S-very small piece of mashed banana L-1/4 cup eggsalad with wheat toast S-none D-1/4 tuna salad and cottage cheese S-none Drinking Propel Water and SF Crystal Light throughout the day. I have been throwing up all day, I had to leave work early today after I only drank my shake, then when I got home I was so tired I slept for two hours, tried to each lunch then barfed again At dinner time I tried again to eat and barfed it all up again. What am I doing wrong? I try to eat slow and not alot and I have been doing so great but just today it did not want to go down. Could it be the banana or the bread? I have not done anything different since I was put on the softs. I need some advice. I appreciate anything you can tell me. Thanks so much Hugs Kim C.

Kim I can just get down four oz of any protein now and I am seven months out. Try 2oz servings of the food...and chew it up well! The bread may make your pouch grouchy too. Joanie

Thanks so much for the advice Joanie, I really appreciate it. I am doing much better today, I was very careful on measuring and I ate very slow too. Again thank you. Love Kim C
