Anxiously awaiting tomorrow's surgery....

I am fully prepared but feel apprehensive. At this point I want it to be done already. I had not felt too nervous until this morning and I am sitting here at work and all I keep thinking about is how many hours to go. I guess it is human nature to be weary any time you do not feel like you are in control. I have never likes anesthesia, can't say as I ever will. Well, I should try to get something accomplished before I go home for the night. Thanks to everyone for their support on this board. It has meant the world to me and I look forward to posting upon my return home later this week. Lise

Hi, was scouring the States boards and saw ur post. Good luck to you! Keep a positive, upbeat attitude and mentality - it will help you get throught the nervousness. Keep us posted after your surgery. I still remember when I went in - it was such a positive experience for me and I hadn't been in a hospital since I was 8 years old! Be sure to take some lip balm, your lips will become dry.

I remember that apprehension well. I had it until I got to the hospital and then was very calm. You will do just fine tomorrow. Can't wait to see you posting later this week when you're a big loser. Sending you prayers and well wishes. Hugs, Maggie

Hi Lise, I am so excited for you. I have a friend that had the surgery "TODAY" and except for being really groggy - she's doing fine. Tomorrow will be great and I myself have 2 1/2 weeks before I will be on the excitement, apprehension, happy, nervous side of the surgery. I can't wait to read your post from the other side. Leave it in God's hand.
