Anyone almost 3 months out....
and still get tired at times?
I went to the gym this morning and had NO energy. I did 25 minutes on the treadmill and had to push myself for every minute. I feel drained. I've been taking my vitamins and B12 religiously. It could be something as simple as I need some rest (with a full time job and 3 kids, it's quite possible), but it still worried me a bit. I've had INCREDIBLE energy since my surgery but these past couple of days, it's been HARD.
Anyone else ever experience this?
It's not uncommon to be slightly anemic, even three months out. Have you tried supplementing your daily vitamins with over the counter iron tablets? CVS sells a box of 100 tablets for about five bucks. They have worked wonders for me.
Have you had your three-month blood work done? Sometimes this can be revealing, and point out what you may be missing. I also have three kids and a full time job, and sometimes find it difficult to get up on the treadmill every day. I know exactly how you feel.

Hi Steve. Thanks for responding. I haven't had my 3 month check yet, I think it's scheduled in the next week or two. I did have my iron checked by my OB/GYN at my last appt. a few weeks back, and it came back normal. I was sure it was going to come back as me being enemic, but it was perfect.
It might just be a case of too much to do in too little time. ;) I'm going to try the gym thing again during the week. Perhaps I just need to work out in the evenings. I don't seem to have that physical energy in the mornings.
Thanks again for responding. It's always nice to know you aren't alone!

Hi Tammy
Sorry you're feeling run down. I know it can be just overdoing. I would occassionally get tired like that for up to six months. Just listen to your body and rest if you need to.
I can't wait to see you next Sunday at the bowling party. I have a certain outfit for you if you remember right. I'll bring it with me.
Hugs,
Maggie

Hi Tammy
I am also full time working mom with two kids who have alot of activies from school and outside of our town too. I have been taxi mom after I get off from work for my kids plus go to excercise everyday. I am lucky that I do not feel so tired and still feel great! Check your iron level from bloodwork and try to drink nectar protien alot ( i drink this one hour before I go to excercise and drink this again after excercise... it helps me refuel my system)
I am looking forward to see you at Bowling party!!
Hugs

Hi Tammy,
Nice to hear from you. I was just wondering if you go on the November surgery date messageboard? I find it very helpful to talk with people who have had surgery on the same date as I did. Although to get the real support I remain on the Ct Boards. I don't rember feeling that tired but my kids are much older, and I wasn't working full time. Good luck and I do hope you feel better.
