Do a Good Deed!

Here in Eastern CT the Gemma Moran Food Bank is in need of donations. Sandy and I went through our pantry yesterday and were able to fill a big box with food items that I can't/won't eat. I was shocked at how many boxes of rice we had in there! We put cans of pumpkin mix, my chicken broth (from the early days after surgery); lots of pasta, etc. in the giveaway box. They are accepting donations of food at the following locations (now through Valentine's Day): Shop Rite-Norwich and New London Chelsea Groton Banks Liberty Bank-Old Mystick Peoples Bank-Norwich Norwich Public Utilities and Groton Public Utilities They are in need of dry foods, peanut butter, canned meats and fish. Baby food and diapers are also needed. In addition, Shop Rite has tear off coupons you can purchase when you grocery shop-in $1, $2 or $5 denominations-the money goes toward the purchase of food which will then be taken to the food bank. While we are losing weight, wouldn't it be nice that we remember that others out there need food? Thanks! Ann
