Just want to say thank you to all of you. YOU ARE WONDERFUL! I have been lurking for about a year now and have never posted. Time has come to tell you all just how much you have helped me. I am now one month post op and everything is going very well. I attribute my progress to my excellent doctor - Barba, my friends and family who have taken this step before me and to you on this board who are so open to discussion. Just reading your comments allows me to know that what I experience is "normal" for my new life. I've been so thirsty and water does not settle well - even warm water. Today I read someone else had this exact same issue. It's amazing how easily Crystal Light or Diet Snapple can go down. Just reading that someone else experienced the water difficulty helps me adjust with my new life. Each one of you are a blessing to me. Thanks

This board is a great help! Some days I don't know where I would be if I didn't have friends to "talk" to! Our bodies have gone through so much and there are usually others who have experienced similar issues. They can offer wonderful advice on how to get past that! Post anytime! Congratulations on your surgery as well! Carmen

Hi L, it's nice to meet you! Congrats on making it to the Looser's Side. Feels good, eh? I have to comment...I have the exact same water issue as you, and I still do 16 months out. I drink coffee, tea, & diet Snapple mostly, and have just been able to tolerate Crystal Lite. I can also tolerate boiling hot liquids. Seriously, the hotter then better! I feel like I should go on Letterman next time he has his Stupid People Tricks. Nuff about me... Welcome, and please, dont be a stranger. We're all friends here. Peace, -Deb
