Joanie's Food Log-Friday
Hi gang
I am off today..lots of housework and running around to get ready for company this weekend. I also have a half hr massage planned today! DH gave me a GC for the spa nearby..I am going to use a little at a time and put in a little of my own saved money--so I can treat myself to a half hr masage every other month. This way-it feels like an inexpensive treat--that might last all yr! NO morning snack..late bkfst so I am going to forego it and save some calories!
What are we eating today?
B-1 poached egg on rye toast 9g
15 oz of propel
L-Wendy's Chili 13g
S-Unjury/CC protein drink 30 g
D-chicken--spnach with garlic and a tsp of oil oil (craving spinach!) 18 g
S-SF Jello, maybe som almonds
Have a great Friday..and a wonderful weekend. Hope we get a full participation today!

I don't plan fruit into my menu on a daily basis...but I do have apples and those peaches in their own juice. I would try applesauce as a first fruit. Be careful of skins at first...they sometimes do not digest as well. I would wait awhile though...you are so newly post op. I would like to see what others have to say on this subject.
Joanie
Joanie thanks for your suggestions I did try alittle of the Carb Clever fruit ****tail and it was very good. I never really used to eat much fruit before except for maybe watermelon and thats what I really want but I think that might have too much surgar...I don't know.
I just want to make sure I do everything right it's a scary thing for me.
I also noticed that i can take bigger sips of water now without it hurting is that normal so soon?
As you can see I'm really nervous and I just don't want to mess up.
Thanks Have a great weekend!

Erminia,
Most people don't plan much fruit (myself included) because of the carbs/sugar. It is very healthy though, even though I don't post it I usually have a couple prunes or a handful of raisins.
As early out as you are, I would try "natural" applesauce (no added sugar) or canned fruit in fruit juice. They also have "Carb Clever" fruit coctail and peaches which are very good and soft!
