Hi, I am 2 weeks and 3 days post op and I was wondering If anyone knows if it is ok to have vegetable beef soup if pureed/ liquidified? I am so sick of protein drinks and cream of chicken soup that I could spew. I don't see Dr. A til tuesday, feb 1st. I would appreciate input that you can give me. I called Eleana at Dr.A's office yesterday and left a message but no return call yet. Thanks, Cinsy

I didn't have Dr A, but I did have all sorts of soups pureed at 2 weeks. I was also given the OK to advance to purees though! If you are still on liquids, try some broth or strain the soup. I think Pea soup (no ham) would count as a liquid too. Good luck, Carmen

You're on full liquids, right? In which case you can't puree your food yet. That's the next stage, if I recall correctly. What you can do is make the vegatable beef soup and stain out all the vegetable and beef and enjoy the broth. I did that a lot- I couldn't stand the bullion cube type broth strained soup had much more flavor. Hang in there...it's actually a very good thing to be sick of what you're eating and learn to eat to live rather than live to eat. Part of the cycle of our new lives... best, Lisa C
