Does anyone go to water Aerobics at the YMCA in Norwich? I am going to go join the gym today. I use to go about two yrs ago when I was on weigh****chers and it was a lot of fun. I also wanted to know when everyone started excercising after surgery. I am 14 days post-op and I'm really wanting to start but I don't know if its ok or not? I was thinking that the water aerobics would be a good way to start?

Hi Amy Welcome to my Excercise log LOL Ask your doctor first to say go head to excercise before you do something for excercise. Have a nice day! Kathy K

Ask your Dr, but most encourage walking from the beginning. As for water, I was given the OK at 4 weeks, but my incisions were completely healed. I was doing the arthritis swim class at the YMCA, but now I am going to school Thursdays so not sure I'll do it if I can only go once a week. If you want someone to exercise with, let me know! Carmen

My doctor had me wait 6 weeks before allowing swimming. Incisions had to be healed completely. Good luck. Anne
