Excellent Care

Hi, I just want to say, I got excellent care while at Hartford Hospital...pain was managed well and I was checked on very regularly around the clock. Dr. Tishler came in to see me at least 2x a day everyday and also had his surgical residents coming to check on me as well as RN Practicioners and support staff hired for this WLS program. I also had my own Primary care nurse on the floor and Personal Care Aide...there was absolutely NO feeling of being thrown to the wolves. I recieved a follow up call at home last evening from Nina, the program RN coordinator to ask how I was doing. Everything has been smooth, seamless, and comprehensive. Ok..that's enough...I have to get up and walk some more..sitting in this chair too long. Needless to say, I highly reccomend my Doc...Darren Tishler...and the Hartford Hospital weight loss surgery program for anyone desiring Lap RNY. More later... Sher'

Thanks so much for the lovely ecard! It came at a great time..right after that icky "leak test"!! The main thing I liked about the whole experience is the feeling that I was being treated by an entire team belonging to a WLS program....not just operated on, checked out and then left to my own devices. All of the extras were nice as well as reassurring. I share because waiting lists are getting longer and longer everywhere and newbies likely would appreciate being aware of all of their options. Hi Carmen, I'm sipping and walking..the halls in my house..lol..it is brutal outside! I am having no problems drinking or taking in my soft diet and pain is less each day. Thanks for saying hello. Sher'
