Pain in side

Hi Everyone. I had surgery on Jan. 13 and everything is going pretty good. I have this annoying pain on my left side. Is this normal? It's not terribly painful or anything but feels like almost like a little cramp that doesn't want to go away. It started yesterday.

Amy, I have the same thing... it is just a nagging pain that comes and goes.... weird... must be common. Beckie

Hi Amy, I checked your profile and didn't see it noted. Did you have Open RNY? If you did what you have to remember is they cut thru all the muscles in your stomach and it will take some time to heal. I know I had this awful pain towards my left side in my lower stomach and it ended up being the muscle. I noticed if I over did it then it would hurt more. So just something to keep in mind. Then again if you had it done lap I'm not too familiar with that. Cheryl is right on que that most likely it is gas and gas X is my and will be your savior. I am a little over 5 months out and just last night at work I was in pain from dinner time at 6:15. It was very bad till I got home from work at 11:45 PM. Hi Julie! Your new pic is so beautiful!! I just had to tell you, after almost 2 years I buy GAS-X at Walmart in bulk!! lol, more info than you needed huh? But it works thank God! Stay warm this weekend! C

Thank you so much for the compliment. You are too sweet. I can't wait to catch up to you in your weightloss. I'm on this awful plateau... my 2nd one and can't seem to break it so I can reach my century mark. Only 5 lbs away. I stopped weighing myself too often and hopefully that will help. I also noticed since I've been sick the past week unfortunatly i'm off with my protein & fluids. I'm working on it though. By the way, What are you taking for a multi-Vitamin these days? ~Julie~

Amy, I just had Lap RNY and I have pain in my left side also..that comes and goes...I was warned about it by the Doc preop..because that is the place his stpler went in and he had to stretch around and thorugh muscle..though he did not cut any. Mine will grab me when I least suspect it, or if I move a certain way..particularly anything that involves stooping over slightly. I know this will pass! Can't wait! Sher'
