Hello All Fellow WlS members! I know it has been a while since I posted on here, but this past year has been such an experience and has left me with little time to hop on the computer anymore. Last year this day this time I was coming out of surgery. I never knew what was in store for me! I was lucky to have no complications, I started out at 324 pounds size 28/30. It was the heaviest I had ever been. As of today I am down 130 pounds and weigh 194 pounds and size 16 and large tops. I am still not done, although it is coming off slowly now , it is still coming off. I would love to lose 34 more pounds and get to 160 and then have a tummy tuck. I had type 2 diabetes and no longer have it. I am the healthiest I have been in my adult life and I am so happy. This is truly the best thing I have ever done for myself and I can do so many things now that I could not do before and it brings tears to my eyes. Shortly after my surgery, 10 days to be exact. I was blessesd with a phone call that we had a baby boy. We had been on an adoption list becuase my husband was not able to have children. He is such a beautiful blessing and he is now 17 months old. Then my hubby had his WLS on May 21st and he is 8 months out and down 110 pounds with no more diabetes either. I have to get some pics up of the 2 of us! Then this past October we got another call that we had another baby boy, and he is actually the biological brother of my 1st adopted son. He is now 7 months old, they are only 10 months apart and keep me on my toes and keep my mind in the right place (away from food). Everyone has to remember we have a tool, and we have to use it right, after a while we can eat more and our minds sometimes play tricks on us trying to fool us into being hungry, grazing etc. , this is where we have to be careful! I wish everyone who has had this surgery the best of luck, like I have had in this past year and all the pre-ops, don't ever let go of your dreams, as long as you are confident you will succeed. I have some pics from my album on Yahoo photos before/after ones. I will post the link. Hopefully it will work! Thank you everyone for all your support this past year ! I think CT has one of the largest groups of supporting people! God Bless MaryJo http://pg.photos.yahoo.com/ph/mjorak@sbcglobal.net/album?.dir=/5c47

Mary Jo, First I would like to say congratulations on your one year anniversary!! Wow, what a year, huh? When I was pre-op, I read everyone's profile that I could, and your's was one of them. You have had great success with your surgery, your husband was also able to get this done, and now you have 2 babies. That is awesome! You are blessed, and I am really happy for you! Anne
