Hi Everyone! I went to my dads for a long weekend. We got to New Hampshire on Friday night and just came back late Tuesday. We did some skiing. I attempted snowboarding (for the second time). Now I have been skiing since the age of three. The last time I tried snowboarding, it was about 14 years ago and I broke my wrist. I was doing great this time - til I caught a downhill edge and went down. I displaced my left knee-cap and am now on crutches. I go see the Orthopedic doc tomorrow (well, today) at 4pm and they will let me know if there is any ligament damage. I will keep you posted. All in all, I had a blast! My father lives in Laconia. He is a retired fire chief and works at Gunstock as the Ski School Manager. At 67 years old, he still skis every day and will ocassionally tear it up on a snowboard! He's insane! My little one got on the skis and really impressed me. He made me very proud! Well, for your viewing pleasure, here are all the pics. Of course, none of me in the hospital. http://www.del-pro.com/users/smooo/album/gunstock0105/ As far as weight and eating go. I am stuck at 161 which is still okay for me, being 5'8". I eat pretty much everything that is good for ya! Tara

Hey Tara! Looks like a lot of fun! I've never been skiing, but would like to try some day. Sorry to hear about your injury. I won't ever get back on skates for fear of breaking a leg again. I'm sure you'll get better on the snowboard with time. ;) Don't give up! BTW..I can tell, even under a thick coat, you are SKINNY!! WTG! Let us know how your visit turns out. Take care, Michelle

Hi Tara: You look like you had a wonderful time visiting your dad and being with your family. Boy do I wish I could ski, tried but chickened out. Your son Aidan is absolutely adorable, I love his jacket with the animal on it. He is one handsome young man. You look fantastic. You must be so proud of yourself. Your journey to the losing side has been quite a success. I have been out about three weeks since surgery and have lost 31lbs. I hope to get to my goal weight of 150lbs by the summer. I have not seen that weight since High School and I am 43 years old as of Monday the 17th. I am so glad I had the laporscopic instead of the open, the recovery is alot better, I am still very soar, but the great thing is I am not hungry and I get filled quick. Well again, congrats to you and I loved looking at your photos. Keep in touch. Kim Callahan Milford
