Hi Everybody, Linda W.... Sorry I took your place!! I am looking forward to go your house for Heather's baby shower party and hope your gown will fit me by March? I need someone from your house to give me thump up or down with no hard feeling Okay .... I am glad I use Excercise log everyday on this board because It helps me to stay my motive for excercise daily. I heard Dr Aranow said GOOD JOB!!! LOL I have been learned alot of new things from my trainer about machines, weight lifts and cardio stuffs. Hey you all there, If you have time or are bored then come over to join our lecture on Feb 9th at 600 pm at New London Shoreline Bariatric Support Group meeting at L M Hospital in Baker Auditorium room at 600 pm to 800 pm The address is 365 Montauk Avenue New London Ct My trainer will give lecture about excercise, muscles toner, and SHE WILL USE ME TO DO EXCERCISE TO SHOW EVERYBODY I better to wear excercise clothes and sneakers!! LOL Excercise will be excercise ball, weight lift like dumbbell, etc.. Cheer for me HAHa Cheryl S Whatever where you are... I hope you can make to go Heathers baby shower at Linda s house because I want to see you there since I have not see you last March!!!! This weekend, I will have my haircut for layer ( so far I did not lose my hair....) after my excercise with my trainer tomorrow morning. Then we will go out for dinner at my son s friend house. I have to share this story to you which We are very proud of Kyle! It made me more proudiest mom for what my son did this past week. There is a boy in his metals class named anothony(sp). Alot of kids were laughing at him because he talked funny ( he have weak muscle from his chin which made him talk funny like sutter (sp)) My son standed up and spoke up and told his classmates to not make fun of him because he cannot help and told them that his parents are deaf and their speech is not perfect but they are great people. The teacher gave big clapping and the kids were aploized to that boy so my son become his friend. His mom was so happy when she heard this story and invited all of us to go their house for dinner. I keep told my kids over and over that I was alot of teased when I was young and it was not fair and hurted my feeling because I was wearing FM hearing at school and my speech is not perfect. I know what it like. SMILE! I will running around my house and do housework YUCKY!! Can someone give me free maid service HAHA!!!! Hope you have a nice weekend!!! Hi Kathy, Congratulations on raising a good, sensitive, caring boy who is not afraid to stand up to others in defense of someone else. If eveyone taught their children to treat others the way they want to be treated, the world would be a much nicer place. wow, it is the weekend already!!!! Time is flying by.... Kathy, that is so great of your son to do that. It is so hard for kids to stick up to their peers and hold their ground on something they know is right. My seven year old is seeing first hand the cruelty of teasing toward overweight kids. She has a girl in her class and she is the only one that is significantly overweight, I guess because of her weight and the way her clothes fit, she has trouble keeping them up. The kids in the class call her butt crack girl, fat, dirty, smelly etc... I know from the few times that I have seen this girl and her parents that she is not dirty nor smelly. I am trying to teach my daughter to be compassionate and befriend her but I can see the fear in my daughter that by doing this she may fall victim of teasing too. It is a hard lesson for kids to learn but my heart goes out to this girl. As for this weekend... I have a birthday party for my one year old god daughter and a baby shower for a good friend that is due in Mid March. It seems like it will be too cold out to go walking so I hope to make it to the gym one day this weekend. I went Wed and Today but I am really trying for 3 times a week. Has anyone tried the atkins icecream cups? I tried them when I was about 8 months out and they made me feel sicki****ried them again the other day and I got the same feeling. All I can think of is it must be the fat content? I usually don't have a problem with the fats though. Hope everyone has a fun weekend planned! HeatherS P.S. Hi Kathy, What a wonderful son you have. The credit also goes to Mom and Dad who taught him well. I would be so proud too! Give him a big squeeze from all of us and tell him he has lots of people proud of him!! Saturday my daughter's karate class starts again, and now that she is a yellow belt her class starts later in the day. It's good because now I have time for food shopping before karate. Then my niece will come over to spend the night. She has spent every Saturday night with us for the last 2 years. It is a great treat for Nicole, my daughter, who is an only child. We will have "movie night" on Saturday night. We rent a movie, make popcorn, lay a whole bunch of blankets and pillows on the floor and watch the movie together. We used to do it all the time, but not so much lately. The kids like it. Sunday we are going to my Aunt's house in New York for lunch. Then, Monday, my hubby is working, and so I am thinking of taking Nicole ice skating again...We'll see what happens. I hope everyone has an awesome weekend!! Anne

Kathy, I knew Kyle was a great child when he hugged me good-bye at your house and it was the first time I was there. I was so impressed with him then and I am not surprised at what a great son he really is. Not only should you be proud of him, he should be proud of himself! Just think if we had a lot more Kyles in the world what a great place it would be for our kids to grow up in. Kudos to you and your husband for bringing up such a loving, caring son! I am going to nickname you CT Msg Board Cheerleader Kathy! You are always so upbeat and inspiring! What a great story about your son...it is a reflection on you and your husband also. Tonight my daughter starts an indoor soccer clinic. Tomorrow it its nice out I am going to take my aunt shopping. My husband is hardly ever off Saturday nights...but is this week becasue of MLK day on Monday. He is going to take me out to dinner, then we will rent a movie and relax at hime. Sunday is my great-niece's 3rd bday party. Her Godmother is a good friend of the family and she is 2 yrs post gastic bypass and a complete success story! I love catching up with her. I heard she is now a size 4/6!! Hugs Joanie

Hi Kathy! Don't worry I love the fact that you beat me to the roll call. I actually was going to do it this morning but never got on the computer until I was at work and had no time. First off please give your son a great big hug for being such a special kid. . I was so impressed with both of your kids when I met them and this just goes to show how right my first impression was. I have the dress already and waiting for you and don't worry we will give you an honest opinion on the fit etc. Oh before I forget, I know there is someone I forgot to get back to with directions etc. for the baby shower. Please email me again. My mind is not all there lately. . Heather is planning on another girl (she has two others) and is naming this little one Marina. She is going with a nautical theme sooooooo...... It looks like there will be about 15 of us depending on the weather of course. Should be great fun. This weekend is kind of a busy one as usual. Tomorrow I am off to the gym for a workout and then water aerobics. I have a meeting (yes I am working on a Saturday ) Then I have a bunch of errands to do and of course 2 UCONN games to watch. . Sunday will probably be grocery shopping, laundry and general cleaning around here. Monday, will probably hit Party City for baby shower stuff and then Mary Lou and I will be at the Civic Center for the Women's game. Somewhere in there I hope to get some sleep...... However I do have the auto pap machine for a week to test my pressure levels again. I will probably have to do another sleep study eventually but this is alot easier than doing that. I seem to be one of those people whose co-morbities just get less, not go away. Oh yes.......I did want to tell you all I have a new goal!!!!!!! Yesterday I heard that Oprah is now 167 pounds and a size 10. Well that means I only have another 18 pounds or so to lose and then if I do the TT eventually I will be smaller than Oprah and I am thinking that would be just fine since she is looking pretty good. How's that for motivation. It kind of puts things in perspective for me so I am trying to get back to the gym more often and increasing the exercise that I do there. I was great in the beginning but life has gotten in the way and I need to get back to a more regular workout schedule. Have a great weekend everyone. I do know that I need to post a new pic. Hi, Kathy! You and your husband have done a terrific job raising Kyle! You should be very proud of him. Not many kids would have the courage to stand up to a classroom full of kids like he did. Hugs, Debby
