Okay one of the girls at work had this recipe, made them last night, and brought them in for us to try. I have to find a website where i can get the "information" on the calories and fat, etc on these cookies by putting in the ingredients. But i had one and it was YUMMY..and i know it has some protein in it..it is also VERY easy 1 cup Jif Peanut Butter..use the simply peanut butter. I am not sure of the contents of this but Dr. Bell's nurse said we could get some protein from Peanut butter and she said this was a good brand to use. 1 cup Splenda 1 egg Beat Well..drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheet....bake in a 350 degree oven for approx ten minutes.. let cool and then eat. If anyone knows how to figure the facts on this recipe, it would be greatly appreciated...it makes about 18 cookies..and i dont know about any of you, but i could only eat a half of one cookie and it wasnt that big !

According to the calculations each cookie would have 62 calories, 4g of fat, 4 g of carbs, and 3g of protein. Heidi

I haven't eaten Peanut butter since surgery, and I love it...I have been afraid with the high fat and the sugar that I might dump. I have been trying to find a low sugar Peanut Butter, but haven't had much luck. If anyone knows of a low-sugar low-fat Peanut Butter that doesn't taste bad, let me know. Thanks, Anne

HI Anne!!!!!!!! Long time no see..........Hope to see you at the next meeting (less busy this month) I bought the card countdown PB by skippy and it is good, but I also got PB from Super foodmart (they make it fresh) grinding the peanuts and not adding anything. It is really good. Hope this helps!!! Boy did I miss the boards, trying to catch up on everything!!! Between work and the holidays I thought I was going to go crazy Have a great day!!! Carmen

Hi Carmen! I missed the last meeting too,but I will be at the one next Wednesday. I will definitely go to super foodmart for their peanut butter. I have been craving peanut butter lately. Is it in the produce section? or the deli? or the regular Peanut butter section? Thanks, Anne PS# missed seeing you around here...welcome back.

I BOUGHT THE LOW CARB PB WITH SPLENDA BUT, IT IS HIGH IN FAT. MY DR'S OFFICE SAID AS LONG AS I STAY UNDER THE CARB AND CALORIE AMOUNT THEY GAVE ME THAT THEY WERE NOT WORRIED ABOUT THE FAT COUNT. ANYWAY, WITH THAT SAID, IT WAS DELICOUS.

Isabella- I am interested what your doctor gave you as a daily carb and calorie amount. I could never get a straight answer...from my dietician. Joanie

YOu could use the natural peanut butter. Some grocery stores have it where they grind up the peanuts right there for you and dont add anything to it and some sell the brand "Teddy" something I believe. That recipe sounds good. I was thinking of adding a little unsweetened cocoa powder too.
