Kathy 's Excercise Log- Thursday
Hello Everybody,
I did not excerise much yesterday but did 20 min on treadmill yesterday before I went to L M Support Group meeting. My personal trainer was with me and she gave small lecture about excercise but will go back to give full lecture about excercise on Feb 9th at L M Hospital support group. Come over and listen her lecture about excercise and muscles issue.
I will see my persoanl trainer tonight for an hour to work harder in my excercise. Did you make 15 min or more excercise today?

Well I tried something new today for exercises. Thought after losing 91 pounds I might be able to do Kickboxing. We had a kickboxing class at our gym this morning and I tried it, well after that class I feel fatter and more out of shape than I have ever felt in my life. I couldn't keep up with them, I couldn't jump rope, I felt so fat and ugly after that class not sure if I will try again next week or not, it was very emotional - sorry to sound like a cry baby here - smile
But I did do some of my regular workout before the class:
30 minutes crosstrainer
10 minutes rowing

Good Morning Beth,
Thank you for sharing with us. You know I have hard time to keep up my cardio. My Personal trainer is helping me to build up my cardio up and she said in the future we will do jump rope justl like kickboxing class but remember we did not excercise in the past before we had this surgery and we all are build up to do our excercise everyday. Don t give up and you will go back kickboxing class in the future after you will build up your cardio up. I know how do you feel like fat and can not do this excercise but you will make this on the road ahead I promise you if you keep up your excercise then you can reach your goal SMILE!

I know how that feels, to feel so crappy about yourself. But, just like Kathy said, we haven't exercised in a very long time, if ever.
A skinny person who never exercises would not be able to keep up either. Muscle tone and endurance comes from continuous exercise, right? It's not really about being fat, thin people can also lack muscle tone. Please don't be so hard on yourself!!
Instead, be proud of yourself for giving it a try, that is something you would not have attempted 90 pounds ago.

Hi all
I highly recommend water aerobics class for weight training. The resistance in the water is amazing and without the pounding on your joints. I never realized you could break out in a sweat in the water! This was a great alternative to a real gym for me...and a good exercise to add to my walking. I am actually thinking about getting a pool..for me...this summer so I can exercise in it!!
The kids have been asking for one for years...
Walking tonight...will let you know how far we went!

Well its either a vacation or the pool this summer..wonder which my kids will pick! I just finished my exercise...I found an old Line Dancing tape someone gave me...I tried a half hr of that and gave up..it wasn't stumulating enought for me...I put on a tape I bought about a yr ago. I had a one mile walk by Leslie Sansone I had been doing. This is also Leslie Sanson...it has a one mile and two mile walk on it...its also very spiritual and inspirational..They pepped up some spiritual songs...to walk to. I did only the one mile..part. Total about 50 min of exercise. It feels good!

Good morning,
Today I did 30 minutes on the elliptical machine.
After not exercising yesterday, I actually missed it last night.
But this morning exercising seemed harder. I don't know if it was because I skipped yesterday, or I was just tired.
I kept thinking, I am only going to do the 20 minute program, but
then again I thought about posting here only doing 20 minutes instead of the 30, so I kept going for the full 30 minutes. I love this exercise log
because it is helping me to stay motivated.
Kathy, I also like the tips you have been giving. Thank you for doing
this.

Wow...30 min! You are doing so well. Yes, I love this log also..no friends to walk with tonight..its so raw out. I am going to put in a Leslie Sansone 2Mile walking tape..and exercise at home! I do not plan to step on the scale until Sunday. My new weight in day. I should have someone measure me..I never did this from the beginning..but I guess its never too late to start figureing out if you are losing inches!
