My One Week Visit

Hello WLS Family: I had my first week post op appointment with Dr. Barajas today. I started at 321 with her office and as of her scale I am down to 300lbs. That makes 21lbs. My scale before surgery was 324lbs and when I weighed myself this morning is was down to 298lbs, which makes 26lbs. So I am not sure which is ok, but either makes me happy. I am starting Stage 4 today, which is great. I feel good, get tired real easy but I try not to do too much since my husband and daughter are keeping after me to take it easy. My next appointment is February 2nd, so hopefully she will let me drive and go back to work. I miss my coworkers and I love my job it is so rewarding to work the seniors and children at the Community Center in Orange CT. I feel like I am helping in so many ways. Its alot of fun and stressful too, but evey job is. I also want to thank the WLS members that responded to my postings regarding the medication and my sadness. Everyone here has been so kind and considerate of my feelings and I love you all for that. I have made alot of great friends and hope to meet some of you sometime. You are doing great. Keep it up. I hope you continue to feel well. The toughest part is the first weeks after surgery. I am not looking forward to that. Good luck, Joanne
