Hello all. I bought one of those large bads of splenda for baking but I have only a few recipes. Anyone have any good ones to use with splenda. I'd appreciate it. I will be checking the recipe message board for sure but wanted to check with all of you too. ~Julie~

Hi Julie, My sister in law lent me a book (which I am going to keep now) called 500 low carb recipes. It uses Splenda a lot. What are you looking for? I can look it up and post some recipes here. No problem. Pam

Hi, Julie! Before you open that bag of Splenda for Baking, I wanted to alert you to the fact that it's half Splenda and half SUGAR! (Same thing with Equal for Baking.) So it has more calories and carbs than plain Splenda, but more importantly, may cause dumping if one has that problem with sugar. Splenda is available loose in a box with a pour spout so that you can measure it out for baking instead of having to open a gazillion little envelopes. You might want to get that instead. Debby

There is a big bag of Splenda, I have one. It is yellow. I think the Splenda mix is called Sugar Blend for Baking, it is an orange bag. So it depends on the bag that she bought. Pam

Hi Debby, I double checked the bag and it doesn't say specifically for baking. Its the regular splenda , just in a big bag. I mis posted...oops sorry. But the reason I bought it was to experiment with baking different things I could have. I figured since they always have the cooking and baking days at work or when I get invited for a gathering I could just bring a WLS friendly dessert/goody. Thanks for the warning. ~Julie~
