shoreline support group

Hi all-  so, 3 of us met up at the Westbrook outlets for an informal get together/support group- I thought it went really well.  We are planning to meet again on TUESDAY AUGUST 19th.  We will meet at the Westbrook Outlets again, in the courtyard between Old Navy and Hollister.  We planned to meet 5:30- meeting will go to 6:30 but if anyone needs to come a bit late (because of work or whatever), I am free to stay until 7pm.  It was nice to meet informally and just chat and get to know one another- I hope more of you can make our get together on the 19th.  See you then.

Hi  Everyone!
My name is Heidi and I also live in Old Saybrook.  I just had my RNY surgery with Dr. Aranow on 7/29/08 and I would love to become part of the shoreline support group! I have a ton of questions and really need some encouragement!!  I am currently miserable on the liquid protein diet and can't wait to advance to the next stage (my next appts with Aranow and nutritionist are also on the 19th.) What I am really worried about is that I am really not losing weight very fast.  I am always starving even though I am not supposed to feel hunger.  I am having an awful time getting enough protein in along with all the water....anyway, I'll save all my questions for when I see you!  I won't be able to get there until around 6pm.  Don't leave without me!

Hello Heidi- My name is Laura- I live in Old Saybrook too! We would love to have you at our next meeting- I can definately hang around at the meeting until 7pm, so just come whenever you can and meet us- the support you get from others who have shared this journey is amazing- it is just so nice to be able to share experiences with people who know what you're talking about, who have already "been there, done that".  Looking forward to meeting you- take care- Laura.
