ALittle Sad

Hello everyone: I just wanted to say that I love being on the website and talking with various people. I was alittle disappointed that nobody volunteered to be my angel, actually kind of sad . The person that did was from Kentucky and I hardly hear anything from her, she is nice but she did not keep up with my surgery or recovery. I have been home since January 1st and feel great. I have lost 26lbs so far in one week. Its amazing how full and satisfied I am with just a little liquid. Its really exciting. My family and friends are so proud of me for going through with this. But sometimes I get alittle lonely and want someone who knows what I am going through to talk to. I am so proud of myself for going through with this, a year ago I would of never even kept any of the appointments. Thanks to my very dear cousin who is like a sister to me took me to my first support group at St Raphaels and the rest is history. I am so grateful for that and I am so glad that I had such a wonderful doctor (Dr. Barajas), she was so nice to me and her associates too. Well, if anyone out there is in the Milford area and would like to chat with me or get together a group here, let me know. I would love to meet some people and make some friends. God Bless to all Kim Callahan

Kim, First off, congratulations on joining the losing side!!!! It will be a difficult journey but one with great rewards. I am so sorry that you slipped through the cracks and did not have a local Angel. I would have applied for that position If you would like anyone to chat with as you go through this or would like to meet a great group of people at a support group in New Haven, let me know. I also had an official online Angel from out of state that was very busy with her own life and slipped away a few days after my surgery. I did have a lot of support from people here though and I have found it to be very important to me through my journey. Best of luck and keep in touch! HeatherS

Hi Kim Sorry to hear you had problems with you getting an angel that helps. I know the feeling as mine has had nothing to do with me except the day of my surgery to post. If you like feel free to email me and we can keep in touch. I have also found alot of support on the main board. Let me know if I can help you or just to talk. Heidi

Kim- I am so sorry that you got lost in the angel shuffle. Please do not take this persoanlly..I can only say..that it must have been the time of year with the holidays approaching etc. Please participate in our boards...with the daily food and exercise logs. I know you are still on the early stages..but it helps to document it all. Take care..and please keep in touch! Joanie

Hi Kim, Don't feel left out because you didn't have an angel.I didn't have one from the boards either. My daughter was my angel and still is! I have met the most wonderful people on this board and have received so much support and information from everyone.(Angels or not.) You really don't need someone from the Milford area to connect with, just jump right in and join some of the gatherings and you will feel a connection with people you have never felt before! Congratulations to you on starting this journey the best is yet to come! Sandy PS Don't stop taking the medication, It could cause you some problems.
