On the loose.........watch out!!
Hi everyone!
Thank you for all of the support and kind words of encouragement! I left the hospital today at about 10:45 AM and was I happy. I got to take a shower before I left (the first one since Tuesday) and boy did I need it. I have blonde hair but you would never have none it if you saw me! GROSS!
What a great feeling that was to take a shower and wash my hair.
I arrived at the hospital for 5:30 AM the day of surgery and was in the operating room and out like a light by 7:02 literally.
I spent quite awhile in recovery where I apparently complained about my breathing tube according to my sister (I don't remember any of that
) and looked quite sad she says. I do know that I was up and walking by 5:30 that night. I didn't have a problem walking which is nice so I did alot of that threw out my time there. I didn't like the breathing excercise so much and probably should have done more of that.
Either Wednesday or Tuesday I don't remember which a Dr Grupta came to see me and said that he had looked at my chest xray and was the one to advice having the chest cat scan. He asked me questions about cancer in my family (there is non) if I had been exposed to TB was I a smoker (a former one by almost ten years) and if I had night sweats etc. etc. It was a little unnerving but I am not freaking because they would not have gone thru with the surgery if there was a real emergency situation. He ordered a TB test and told me to get in touch with him after I was discharged so I will call his office on Monday and take it from there. I will keep you posted with the results. I didn't sleep well that night thinking about everything he said and second guessing what he didn't say
typical nerotic behaviour right
oh well.
So the end result is I'm home today and starting off on my new life. I want to thank Carla
for being such a great angel comeing to see me and not even flinching when she saw me!
Now that's a real angel
Thanks again Carla!
Love and Peace to everyone

Welcome home Anne!!!
So glad everything went well and they freed you yesterday!!!
Now let me welcome you to the losers' bench!!
Keep us posted on the whole medical thing - that sounds scary but just be vigilant pursuing it with the doctors and I'm sure everything will be fine.
The next few weeks you'll be feeling better and better each day. I know the liquid and puree stages seem long..but they'll be over in no time. Get in your protein and water and get in lots of rest.
Hope to see you again soon!!!
And thanks for the privilege of being your angel
Hugs,
Carla
