I'm home!

I am home safe and sound. It was a stitch from the gallbladder surgery that was supposed to disolve that didn't and it wrapped itself in the fascia (fat) and stuck into me. Dr. Reinhold saved it to show me as he couldn't believe it either. It was almost 2 inches long and like fishing wire. So the good news is it is out and he didn't have to do anything to my mesh which he was concerned about. If he did I would have been prone to more hernias. I can't say enough about the care I have recieved from St. Raphaels and Dr. Reinhold and his partners. He runs an amazing program and really cares about his patients. I've been invited to speak there now too, but not for awhile. I just want to lay low for awhile and heal. Thank you to all my friends here that remembered me in your prayers, to my angelette Phyllis, we are going to make your dreams happen in 2005! Linda, Kathy and Kathy,my dear Maggie and everyone else, I love you all. And that's not the drugs talking either!! Now I have to figure out how to get all this betadine off me!! I am painted in it! love to all, Cheryl

That's so fantastic Cheryl! I am so glad to hear that this problem is finally resolved for you. How strange to have that kind of complication with a stitch!! Oye! Also happy to hear that you had Dr Reinhold - he is my surgeon and I really love him and everyone at that office. Well hope you heal quickly and we finally get a chance to meet up some day!!! Hugs, Carla
