Joanie's Food Log-Wednesday
I love the Nectar Shakes. I think it is only 90 cals w/ 23g protein. I buy it from www.bariatriceating.com but I think one of the Dr's sells it in the office. I love the Very Cherry Berry and the Crystal Sky. They both taste like fruit punch! I add about 12oz water instead of 8 or it is too sweet. They also make Pina Colada, Fuzzy Naval, Lemonade and a few other. It is a good alternative when I don't want the milk based drinks, plus less calories!
I hate snow. But the teens like it, they get time off from school, come home early, and I won't be lonely.
B - total protein 14g
L - ham, maybe some cheese if I am still hungry 14g
Protein supplement 15g
D - actually cooking tonight, baked chicken and some steamed carrots, (the rest of the crew will also have tater tots) 21g
S - sf popsicle
If I get so I want to snack at night, I jump on the computer and play games.

I have been trying to change my snack at night too. For a while I was eating SF ice cream, but I got tired of that. Then I tried the flavored pretzel pieces, but they have alot of carbs. Lately I have been slicing up some different cheeses and have 2 teaspoon-sized slices, and a small amount of unsalted peanuts. The peanuts satisfy my "crunching" craving, and both are good sources of protein... I only take a handful of the peanuts though, because they are not low fat...
Here is my menu today:
B- Morning Start breakfast bar, 12g
S- Protein shake, 19g
L- green salad w/feta cheese and lite caesar dressing
D- steak, green beans, mashed potatoes (about 1 tbsp)
S- not sure yet.
I haven't had any water yet, but I am about to start now. I made a deal with myself that I won't make any coffee after wor****il I have had at least 2 bottles of water. Last night it took me until 8 to drink the water, so I skipped the coffee. Better for me this way...but my hubby keeps asking, "where's the coffee?"

Where is the coffee?
Ask him to make it for ya! Guys!! They are so set in their ways, huh? Decaf coffee could take the place of water...but any coffee drinker knows you might as well be drinking dish water! I do half caf..most of the time...and only drink one to two cups-max. I had NO coffee today which is pretty unbelievable for me!

Hey everyone, I have missed you all so much! My computer has been acting weird and was taking forever to load up websites so I just avoided the internet altogether. Today when I tried to get online, no problems at all? weird.
Anyhow, I have been snacking a little too much as well. Going to try to cut that out!
B- protein bar 14 grams
Snack - smoothie 16 grams
Lunch - Wonton Soup (my bad, I know
) No idea how many grams protein. It's not listed on Fitday so when I put all the components together I come up with a count of like 20-22 grams of protein.
Snack- none so far and it's almost dinner time. I don't think I will.
Dinner- breaded and baked chicken cutlets dipped in bbq sauce. It's my current obsession
Snack- hopefully none, if I do get hungry I am going to have a string cheese and not pretzels!

We had our last post-placement visit from our social worker today. Looks like we get to keep Ava
It feels good to finally be done with adoption paperwork at last! WOOHOO!! Anyway it sure was nice to be able to sleep in for a while this morning. Was able to sit down and enjoy breakfast for a change.
B- 2 sl. turkey bacon, Krusteaz low carb banana muffin
benecoffee -- 21g
L - green beans, 1 mini veggie egg roll, 4 soy chicken nuggets - 14g
s - carb well peanut butter cereal bar (these are my new favorites) - 10g
D - shaved pork (from pork tenderloin leftovers) cooked in bbq sauce
(strained) over salad greens (the sauce w/a little vinegar made a
very tasty dressing), 1/4 toasted bagel w/little butter - 14g
s sf popcicle and yogurt, or banana w/ peanut butter 8g or 4g
total 67 or 63
48oz water and crystal lite
no exercise ---- again..... kathy help me!

You need a tough coach who can make you to do excercise. Look for someone as Buddy partner and make an hour for yourself five times a week for excercise. I am also working mom who is full hands with kids's activies and i made an hour for myself for excercise an hour to myself. Let me know if you need more helps from me. Try to start excercise for ten or 15 min for now then will build up more min later Sounds fair to you??

how did you know i was going to say i have no time to exercise? I am a sorry case for sure that I cant get off my jiggly behind. I like your suggestion to do 10-15min to start out. that sounds fair. i will let you know tomorrow how i did. I am getting my treadmill delivered Sunday, so I am really looking forward to playing with my new toy.
i missed you last night at the post op meeting. i will definately be at the feb meeting.
keep posting the exercise log -- i think it will help me and maybe others who are exercise slackers like me.

S handful of Wheat thins w/ some cheese ball spread on them. ( I couldnt help myself. Was in the munching mood.
Will drink some tea and maybe some Carb Countdown milk for a before sleep drink which will add another 12 grams of protein to my total. I heard it is good to have some protein before you go to sleep so I try to get a glass of milk in every night....
