Looking for a doctor...
I'm wondering if anyone knows of a MD in CT that has experience putting a lap band over an old bypass? This procedure is done quite a bit in Europe and I wondered if there were any on our state that have experience with this?

I've never heard of this. Why not just get a revision to your original RNY? They do them quite differently now. I would not recommend the VGB, most folks have trouble eating solids that are not soft after that surgery.
Dr. Robert Bell is at Yale and very experienced with all types of WLS. Go for a consult with him.
Like all of us, your "head" needs the fixin'. We are all so "head hungry" that's why we end up regaining. Use the boards for support. This is so difficult, but worth every struggle.
Good luck.

Hi,
There are not many surgeons in the area that will do a revision. Some do, but not with a lot of experience. I just had a revision, less than 2 weeks ago. My original surgeon was Dr. Bell - and HE IS WONDERFUL, however, when I found out I had a fistula and an enlarged stoma, he didn't feel I needed to fix the fistula, and he only offered a VERY restrictive revision surgery for me.
I did my homework, and I ended up at Brigham & Women's in Boston, with Dr. Lautz, who has done tons of revisions. I definately recommend him as well.
There is a forum on here for Revisions - you might want to ask some questions there - I'm sure you'll get lots of help.
God Bless,
