Welcome Erminia Every day gets better and life starts feeling normal again after two weeks. The only shakes that I was able to get down right after surgery were the Atkins ones. Good luck and welcome again. Maggie

Hi Kathy thank you for your kind words...I've seen you at some of the support meetings but we never talked. I'm usually a loner and it was hard for me to go to alot of meetings with work and all. I am already happy this is the start of my new life. It's just hard is all but I'm gonna make it. Thanks again and Happy New Year to you too!

Hi Erminia, I had purchased Mega Isolate from GNC. It is a protein shake (vanilla flavored). I actually like it. It has 50 grams of protein per (their) serving. I normally use one scoop and that is 25 grams and I have 2.5 or 3 a day besides my water or fabulous crystal lite. So far so good. I am sure I will get sick of this one and will be on here for suggestions for a new flavor. I am doing well. Just a little sore at times and I have only been using my pain meds when absolutely necessary. Like today, we had a family party in Durham.. that is a 30-40 minute ride for us... so I made sure I took some. So average, I am taking pain meds maybe 1-2 times per day. Walking! Oh, what fun... I ended up getting a little over 3 miles of walking in before I left the hospital on Thursday. The treadmill is a wonderful invention for walking at home. Tonight, I am having sugar/fat free pudding for dinner... mmmmm! I had Jello last night! I hope you are feeling well and just think, every day gets better and closer to our goals of being thinner and healthier. I am glad we had the chance to go through this together as we work in the same building and can chat or give eachother ideas. Perhaps walking on lunch breaks? Hugs to you and Happy New Year Everyone! Beckie P.S. Erminia, tell your husband to have another sip of coffee for me! haha
