New kid on the block here. Once this message gets approved by the moderator you all will see it. Here it goes: I am 5 months into the program and am waiting for my last nutritionist visit and pulmonary visit. Then, if all goes well, Dr. T and his staff start to argue my "case" for surgery with my insurance company. Should be fun. I do expect it to be approved with no problems. I posses several of the co-morbid conditions which will be vastly improved or totally eliminated with surgery. By the way I will be getting banded.......

I am almost there.  I just finished all the tests and I should know if I have approval next week...thanks to Kevin the patient advocate at Dr. Ehrlich's office.

I'm getting banded too, hopefully very soon.

Welcome!! I too see Dr. Tishler,  he is great..and so is his staff.  If you ever need them they are there.  I had my band put in 4/30/8 and had 2 hernias taken out... Feel free to write to me with any concerns,  GOOD LUCK  I will make room for you on the loser's bench

Good Luck to you. I am new here also and I just got my preop appointment date and I am only two weeks away from finding out my surgery date I am so excited. I also see Dr T and have had nothing but a great experience.
