I hate clear liquids
Hi Gina
The liquid diet is tough but this too will pass. How long do you have to be
on clear liquids? When your doc adds milk and yogurt it will give you some
variety. Swiss Miss hot chocolate was heavenly and 98percent fat free
soups were great. Hopefully your doc will add some things to your diet
to make it more interesting. Keep up the good work

Hi Gina:
I remember my first week post-op.
It was a shock.
Saying goodbye to food as we knew it is a bit jarring.
But it is doable.
The stages go by faster once you are progressed to the full liquid stage and then pureed foods.
Just try to remember your goal...focus on that and you will be fine.
I also suggest you see a nutritionist if you have not yet hooked up with one.
Dr. Floch can give you the name of 2 to choose from.
I see Nancy Murphy and she is great....very professional and knowledgeable.
Hang tight...you will make it through the first few weeks (which are the roughest)...lots going on. Be gentle with yourself.
Take care...

Hi Gina,
Congrats on making it to the Looser's Bench!!
Yup, the liquid stage was BY FAR the worse for me. By the end I hated everything, everyone, including myself ****pt sking 'what the hell did I do to myself??). But once I was able to eat pureed foods it got a little better, more options, and juyst being able to chew! Ahh, it was bliss....
I never enjoyed cottage cheese so much as the first BITE I took after surgery. Move over prime rib!
Hang in there, the best is yet to come, and for you it could be today!!
