NEED A FRESH START!
So I thought I'd come to work today and all the food would be gone! UGH...there's more sweets here! Wish people would keep them home or throw them out! I sent all the "bad foods" home with my company on xmas eve so I wouldn't be tempted...and here it is in my face. Anyway, enough complaining...I'm trying a fresh start approach...hope that works.

I am sure things will calm down now that the Holidays are close to being over. I will keep you and your sucess in my prayers but I have faith that you can do it and get back to where we all have to be at times..back to reality.
I found that I also sent all the food home with my family and started to get back in the swing as soon as Christmas night. It made it so much easier to look around and see none of the foods that littered the house... candied nuts, peanut brittle, cakes and pies and everything else we make for special days.

Don't make yourself feel bad. Think back to prior years and think what you would have eaten and what you didnt eat this year. You are doing awesome and you are one of my sources of encouragement. We all have a hard time around the holidays. Pat yourself on the back for all the stuff you didnt eat this year and quickly put it behind yourself
DOn't forget...next week we will be having another Dr. Bell support group meeting. and we have to figure out where we will be going for our HEALTHY dinner this time !!!!! (woohoo this is my first one postop)...
Remember, my prayers are with you and you will do fine..give yourself credit where credit is due. !!!

Am doing good..i am down about 25 lbs or so..(i was down 19.6 at Dr. Bell's post op but that was at 12 days)...i actually did better than i thought at xmas time. I at my fruit when others were eating dessert. I stuck with mashed tatoes during the dinners and had a few pieces of cheese to make myself "part of the crowd" during the "picking" also had a deviled egg of which hubby made two special ones for me..so it wasnt as hard as i thought..i have been craving cooked green beans and they said i could have cooked veggies, so i think im going to have them for dinner tonite with some more mashies...i did have a pickle though..but it was very soft..and im hoping i could consider it a cooked veggie????
im ready for my fish on friday though
I am game to go wherever...i will probably have something fishy or some mashies !!!

There is this guy that works at PLR that BAKES. He made excellent chocolate chip cookies - and on Christmas Eve, I ate one. Wow, it was good -- but unfortauntely, I didn't get sick. Darn. Kinda hoped I would.
TODAY - he brings in Pudding Bread that he baked. What the ..... again, very yummy, but ugh, I shouldn't even try this stuff. So I had a bite and tossed the rest. Shhh, don't tell him.
Did you ever notice that when you have birthday or holiday parties at work, people always bring in junk food? Even if we did a breakfast where I used to work -- someone would bring munchkins, someone else would bring danishes. Come on, yer killin me here!

Give me the hammer when you are done! There is a tiny little table outside of my office, and guess where all the junk ends up!!!!!!!!!!! Anyway, here I go today starting fresh...packed a lunch filled with protein and drinks...so I'm gonna do it today! Good luck to you; let's get through this!!!

Hi there, as you know from my previous post I feel for you girl... I have the same issue but not only with work that has pie days and cookie days, they even reward us with candy but at home too... I have to walk by a dining room table and another table on the way to the family room with 2 huge platters of cookies and pastries and its driving me nutz. I too have started fresh and amtrying to be very strong. I know it's tough (very tough) but we can do it. I'm here for you if you need to chat. Keep your chin up. Let's tale one day at a time.

P.S I'm having a major hair loss issue. Anyone have any recommendations for brands of supplements. I am going to the health food store this week.
