Hospital Called
Hi, all!
Because my surgery is on Monday and tomorrow is Christmas Eve, the hospital called me this morning to tell me what time to be there on Monday. It's nice to have more than just a few hours notice, so that I can let other people know who want to be there for me, but actually have something going on in their lives besides my surgery (imagine that!). My surgery is scheduled for 1 p.m., so I'm to report to the hospital at 11 a.m. With an expected surgery time of 1 1/2 hrs. and 2 hrs. in recovery, if all goes according to schedule, I should be arriving in my room (ready to walk my 1st lap?) at about 4:30 p.m. That's 91 hrs. from now, but who's counting?
Beckie Newell, does this mean that you're scheduled for Mon. morning surgery? If so, you'll arrive at the 4th floor ahead of me, so I'll expect you to join me for a lap when I pass by your room.
It's going to be a busy weekend, with loads of laundry and packing to be done. I'm not just getting ready for the hospital; when they discharge me, I'll be going to Montowese Health and Rehab in North Haven for about a week instead of going right home. So I have to pack one bag with a few things for the hospital and another bigger one with lots of things for the following week.
So don't be concerned anyone that after this weekend you won't see me posting for a while. I won't have access to a computer until around the end of the 1st wk. of Jan. But I trust that my angel, Joanie M., will keep you posted. And if any of you find yourselves in the North Haven area, please stop by Montowese to visit me.
Have a good weekend, happy holidays and happy new year!
Debby
Debby, I am so happy for you and will be sending my prayers your way.
I will be looking forward to an update from your angel when I get home from work late monday night. I wish you the best of luck and can't wait for you to join us on the losing side. Enjoy your Holiday. Look forward to being a loser in 2005.
~Julie~

Hi Debby,
I am so happy that your day is fast approaching. I can just hear your excitement even over the internet......

. I will definitely be thinking of you on Monday and I know that you will do just fine. Joanie will keep us updated, I have no doubt about that. I will try to stop by Montowese (first I have to figure out where in North Haven it is) to visit. I sometimes have to be in that area for work. I wish you loads of Mazel. I know how important this is to you. L'Chiam......that's what this is all about. Take care, take some deep breathes and hold on for your wild ride.
Linda
