Yup, got another stricture. And if that wasn't enough I thought I was going to die last Friday. I ended up in the E.R. from pain. Had a CT scan done. Guess what! I got gall bladder problems. Drug my happy @$$ to the hospital for an ultrasound today and got the good news. I have gall stones. Got in to see the Dr. A. right after that. Dr. A. was great, he called the scopie doctor and got me in this week so I am going to see the doc who is going to scope me on Friday then after that we are going to schedule surgery for the gall bladder. Let you know more when I know more.

He took mine out during RNY...I always wonder why he doesn't take them all out at RNY...are you taking the actigal????  It's weird that they wouldn't find any prior (didn't you have a gall bladder u/s prior to surgery?) RNY and now you have them (stones)?

Hubby didn't have his removed, but has had no probs...me, just continued with the IBS and have a lot of diarrahea all the time (sister says it's cause of no ball bladder)...Can't eat much cheese or drink ANY milk or I'm sick as a dog.

Is J.A. doing your surgery?

Hang in there..

Yup had the u/s and it was fine then. I took my actigal but because of getting sick (had swallowing issues for 6 weeks) I wasn't able to take it like I should. I also have gall bladder problems on both sides of my family.

I agree he should take them all out during RNY. That way I wouldn't be having surgery again. At least he is doing it lap this time.

Yeah, Dr. A. is ripping the g.b. out just as soon as we figure out when I am getting my upper G.I. He wants that done first or I could have it out on Wednesday.

Hi Kathy

Are you doing any better??  I know this post is late but I don't post often but tonight I am on a roll.

I am sorry to hear of your gall bladder problem...my sister had gall bladder problems and I know that it is very painful.

Have you had your surgery scheduled yet?

If you get the chance, please let us know how you are doing.  It's been a while since you posted so I was hoping you are okay and have a chance to check in.

My prayers are with you..
Katie

Yeah, I am feeling better. I had the stricture fixed on Thursday and am healing from that. On Monday I will call Lois and schedule the surgery. My manager at work is just loving me to death. I am out and they can't do anything cause it's all medical and I have FMLA leave on them.

I shall now be know as Hagatha: Queen of the queens.
