Surgery Rescheduled
Thoughts and prayers going your way...what Boston hospital will you be at? Is it a lap procedure or an open one?
I think I may need one, too. I feel no restriction at all...can eat a LOT of food and not get full...I think my stoma needs to be made smaller, again.
Is insurance covering it?

330+/230/200 (originally got down to 200, but gained 30 back) :-(

Was your stoma fixed already? If so, that's scary!
Yes, my insurance is covering it - they wouldn't cover an endoscopic procedure that could have helped as well - that was too simple for them (they said it was still exploratory), but this they will pay for. I'm just happy that I'll soon be well again.
God Bless,
Kathy

DUH!!! I hadn't read your previous posts and you needn't reply about where your surgery is! I know it's at B&W's...
Boston is costly, I know, but like you said, everything happes for the greater good. You don't want a surgeon operating on you who can't see what he's doing if his neck is stiff! Or, drugged out on muscle relaxers! Maybe he was on Cape Cod and wanted a couple of extra days, but at your $$$ expense (only kidding!)
Hang in there..

Hi Paula,
Dr. Lautz is at Brigham & Womens (as you know ) and he has a LOT of experience with revisions.
I know he wasn't just goofing off (and I know you were kidding), but his assistant came into the hospital one day at about 6:30 and the next at about 6:00 to talk to me in person, and to try to help me out - THAT's dedication! In fact, the 2nd day she hadn't even showered yet! They both felt really bad.
Thanks for the prayers.
