Morning Everyone. Lois just called me and said that my ultra sound came back showing Gall Stones. Now I have to have that removed on Monday as well. My liver functions have been high all year and now they want to do a biopsy. Beckie

Beckie- The gall bladder should be no big deal since Dr. A does open RNY anyway. Will they do the biopsy while you are in surgery or before then?? I see people with elevated liver fuction tests all the time (I am an u/s tech) and most times its just a large amt of fat in the liver. Hope everything is ok with yours! Hugs Joanie

Beckie I have know someone who had removed from gall bladder by Dr Aranow but is not sure if they will do the biopsy during your surgery? I am praying for you for everything will come out okay after surgery. Will stop to see you on Dec 29th in the afternoon Hugs Kathy k

Better to have the gall bladder out at the same time as surgery than a few months down the road like myself. Don't be nervous about the biopsy. Better safe than sorry and I'm sure it's a precautionary measure. Try not to let it get you down. Hugs, Maggie

eh- you don't need that nasty old gallbladder anyway. beleive me, you would NOT have liked the actigall Dr. A asks you to take if you're 'lucky' enought to keep your gallbladder ...eeeww (shudder) I'm getting grossed out just thinking about the smell of it.... must forget...moving along.... OK, so it's good that they're going to get in there and do a liver biopsy. It will put to rest any fears about the abnormal results. That's really a great thing to be able to get out of the way. So- in my humble opinion... All this is GREAT! Sounds like everything is in order and you're ready to go! wishing you all the best... Lisa C

Beckie, Everything will be fine. I had a liver biopsy during my surgery and it didn't change anything..... Results came back as a fatty liver. You are better to have your gall bladder out now, then you won't have anything to worry about down the road! Carmen
