You won't believe this one!

Hi Everyone - well, I'm in Boston.  At 5:30 a.m. I arrived at Brigham & Women's for my 7:30 revision surgery.  I'm moving along in the process - at about 6:30 I'm speaking with the anestesiologist (sp?) and she urgently gets called away.  We were about 5 minutes away from starting an IV.  My surgeon called in sick!  My jaw just dropped to the ground!  I couldn't believe it!

All kinds of thoughts ran through my head - especailly about the extra cost and inconvenience this is - not to mention, when would I get to have my surgery!  However, Dr. Lautz has an excellent assistant, Eileen, and she got me another surgery appointment for tomorrow morning at 5:30.  Hopefully, Dr. Lautz will be feeling much better by then.  Apparently he has a stiff neck and shoulder - and I certainly want him to be totally mobile while he is operating on me!

PLEASE - keep HIM in your prayers tonight!  I don't want to hear the same thing again tomorrow morning!  :)

Thanks to all of you - God Bless.

How upsetting for you Kathy. Thank goodness they were able reschedule so soon.
I do hope things go well for you tomorrow.
