Any updates on Healthnet

I have heard a couple times that a lot of insurance companies that used to easily approve WLS are now thinking twice and there are big changes coming in 2005 for the worse. Has anyone heard anything specific? When I checked with Healthnet they said there were no changes in my coverage, however my Drs office said they knew someone who works there and they are real worried...which worries me as I was hoping for a date of late Jan. Any input fro you all? I know you are great resources!!!

Sid, It seems the insurance companies are making changes but it all depends on your employer and how they renegotiate their plans. I don't think that the insurance companies can make a blanket statement for all their policy holders at this point. Tri-care did because it covers military employees and it was across the board when they switched carriers. Check with your HR people. They are the ones who should know about your particular policy.
