NSA or SF SOFT SERVE ice cream in CT?
Friendly's sells sugar free vanilla & also has a sugar free fudge topping. I get a "kid" size sundae & it's very good. (also sold by 1/2 gallons there & in stores)
Also Breyers, Turkey Hill, and Edy's have different assortments... Edy's is the BEST. They're cookie dough is to die for.
Watch the sugar alcohol's though.. I "dump" very badly if I have too much of it.
Happy Ice Cream Hunting..
Mickey
Ashley's does. And you can't even tell it is sugar free and fat free!!!!
They also have sugar free hot fudge to put on it BUT that gives me tooooooo much gas.
The ice cream alone is fine. I love it. There's one in Branford and one downtown New Haven and I don't know if there's any others.
Enjoy -

I ended up having to make my own....I went to Friendlys and had sugar free vanilla with sugar free hot fudge and dumped so badly....the other sugar free ice creams just aren't worth it to me...(I could eat a 1/2 gal. a night before surgery)...well..except for sugar free fudgecicles...those are worth it once in a while....and sugar free Italian ice was a staple the first few months out of surgery.......mmmmmmmm...pistachio...and I do miss toasted almond!!!!!!!!!!!
WE ARE PUT ON THIS EARTH NOT TO SEE THROUGH EACH OTHER...BUT TO SEE EACH OTHER THROUGH
"Life should NOT be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in an attractive and well preserved body, but rather to skid in sideways, chocolate in one
hand, mudslide in the other, body thoroughly used up, totally worn out and
screaming ! HOT DAMN.....WHAT A RIDE!!
BECOME THE CHANGE YOU WANT TO SEE
Smuckers also came out with a line of sugar free toppings.. hot fudge, caramel, & strawberry..
During the fall I get a fresh apple from Johnny Appleseeds in Ellington & dip it in the sugar free caramel.. YUMMO... big treat..
Fudge is a little high in calories.. 0 fat & LOTS of sugar alcohol so I use sparingly... I'll melt a little and dip some strawberries in it or some frozen banana as a treat.
Happy hot fudge hunting,
Mickey
Hi Kathy!
Thank you for asking.. I'm doing better. Dr R was overall happy with how I was looking when I saw him last week.
My blood counts are still low but it's rising & he's not too concerned as it doesn't look like I'm internally bleeding any more. (Thank the good Lord)
My eating is still a struggle.. Absolutely no carbs except in veggies & fruit..I've finally adapted but that's been a little rough as I used to throw in Whole Grains into my diet.
Down Side.. since the obstruction/complication my volume that I can eat has upped TREMENDOUSLY.. that is scary. He wants to do a scope on the pouch as he's thinking during the "hose down the nose" procedure in May it stretched it.
So for now monitoring I go back in Sept. for a check up. In the meantime.. as much protein as I can put into my system. 80+ grams a day... that's a struggle & I've been doing protein drinks to suppliment.
I am back to work full time & back into full work out mode at the gym.. got the all clear to start working my abs again so that I'm happy about.
Long journey since March... learned alot about myself & my tolerance/patience with being ill. Definately learned about "quality care" from hospitals & various Doctors.. I walked away alot smarter & wiser. God forbid if I ever have to go through an ordeal like this again.. but at least I know I can defiantely stick up for myself & not take "no" for an answer.
Huggaroos,
Mickey
