I've Been Missing in Action...

Hi Everyone... I've been missing in action for a little while...it's been a crazy time for me. DH had applied for a job with the State...but he had to undergo a background check...and so far, it has taken almost 8 weeks to get it done. Meanwhile, his boss at his job found out that he was going to be leaving, and because this guy has a real ego problem, he fired DH before he could quit on him...came up with a real flimsy excuse, but one that would probably stand up anyway...So...I've been really putting my nose to the grindstone with work, making sure that I am making enough money in my full time job to keep us going, taking on extra work and the like...and I also started nosing around in my second career to find a part time gig...well...long story short, I have returned to the Connecticut School of Dog Grooming where I graduated as a dog groomer, last August and worked as the Saturday assistant until this past January. I'm back at CSDG as an Assistant to the Director on Saturdays. So, I'm working 6 days a week...I've been doing extra work at night...and basically falling into bed by 10 every night. That's in addition to taking care of 2 little boys, a house, 2 german shepherds and a husband. LOL Well, I went really insane last Saturday...I decided that 2 jobs, 2 dogs, 1 house, 1 husband, and potentially a partridge in a pear tree was not enough (I'm not sure about the partridge...and we don't have a pear tree, but it sounds better than the cardnial in the rhodedendrum). A long time customer came into the School/shop with standard poodle puppys that her poodles had. She had 2 litters...13 standard poodle puppys...she was rather overwhelmed with that amount of pups at once. We groomed the pups...gave them their first grooming. One little sweetie seemed to take a liking to me from the minute she came into the shop...and I took a liking to her...an instant bond, if you will. This pup spent the afternoon following me around and sitting on my lap every time I sat down. Hmmmm....do you see where this is leading??? Well...long story short again, I came home from work at the shop Saturday night carrying an 11 week old cream colored standard poodle puppy...who I named "Chanel". She was "puppy #5" out of the litter...so as in "Chanel #5"...So my "insanity' became complete LOL For anyone interested in seeing the little beauty that captured my heart, click on my picture page on my profile. I must say that even though I am a dog lover, poodles are not on my list of most desired dogs...I totally fell for this little girl and just knew in my heart that I had to have her. So, that's why I have een missing in action...things appear to be calming down...and I'll hopefully be back more...I've been lurking, just not posting. Love to you all Have a Sparkling Day!!! ~CAE~

Whew! I got tired just reading all that! You must have the energy of two people! I'm glad you're doing well with this all. You look wonderful and Channel is a BEAUTY. Standard poodles aren't my absolute fav. either...but they are SO SMART and have wonderful temperments. How's she doing with the shepards? It looked like they're getting along. Hope you have a CALM PEACEFUL holiday! I'd say "Hope Santa is good to you!" But, I see he ALREADY has been! best, Lisa C
