What a great Christmas present!! I was just there - it is so beautiful and warm. I am so chicken to get a tattoo and I love them - my real goal in life is to be thin enough to have my belly button pierced - long way to go for that, who knows, maybe I will change my mind in the mean time! MMMMMMM about tattoo.... never had an experiece with tattoo ( still want cross with ILY sign langague on it) Are you goign to stay Wyndham Old San Hotel and Casino ? No, staying with family on the opposite side of the island. But, I've been to the Wyndham- you'll love it! Maybe your tattoo can be your gift to yourself when you reach goal!!! I'll go with you, if you want!

WHOOOOHAH!!! Way to go Lisa . I am sooo excited for you and am already to go with you. I miss that warm sun so much. Besides my tan is fading and I can't let that happen..... Seriously though, what a wonderful present and it is time to be good to yourself. You are a much braver person than I to get a tattoo in the first place never mind get it re-colored. I think I will stick to jewelery.... Have a great time and take lots of pictures. I was in San Juan a few years ago for a few days before leaving on a cruise and I thought it was great. Linda

Thanks Linda- you're my inspiration! Jewlery is much more sensible! and changeable... I got this one when I was 28, and sure I could live with it, in a place that most people don't see. I cringe when I see these young girls getting tattoos everywhere...THINK people! Think about what that's going to look like in 15 years. Especially those girls that get tattoos on ther tummy or chest...Yikes! Those things STRETCH OUT you know! I have a good friend who got a beautiful rose tattooed on her chest (well, technically the top of her breast) when she was 18. But, now that she's in her late 30's- she thinks it was the biggest mistake she ever made. Let's just say- the girls AIN'T where they used to be. So, $4000 later in laster treatments and incredible pain...she finally has gotten rid of it. An expensive mistake! So- sounds like Jewlery is a GREAT CHOICE!! love, Lisa

Jet blue is great, there is a tv in back of every seat in front of you so you can watch tv during most of the flight, except when you get over international waters (which is alot of the trip by the way) then you dont get tv and have to occupy yourself with other things, the seats are all leather and larger than most very comfortable. jetblue by far is my favorite airline. i would love to fly them anytime anywhere. i would go to nyc especially just to fly them, thats how much i like them. and i like how i can get a direct to PR with them. As for where you are going, my first husband was from Ponce. I dont know if that is near where you are going. I believe Ponce is in the mountainous part of PR. I never got to see it. I have been to PR more than he has. He left when he was 10 and has not been back since. If I had known it was that nice when I was married to him I would have insisted we visit, and often. Now I go and do the touristy stuff. If I could I would own a condo down there. thats how much I love it. I saw someone say something about jewelry. gold is a good deal if you know where to go and buy it. but i would not buy gems there. st martin and places like that are the best for buying that. especially tanzanite and alexandrite. well, have to get my mind off PR and get to work now. Your going to love jetblue. the last time i was there, when we left here it was 13 degrees below zero and snowing. when I got there it was 85 degrees. I thought I had died and gone to heaven. what a week that was. we had 10 days of magnificence. ohhh heavens.... now Im really jealous. bring me back some sand. have a great time. love lauren

By the way, my gift to myself when I reach goal is going to be a very nice baubble. Preferablly something in a diamond the size of Mt Rushmore. Hubby doesnt know it yet, but he will when he gets the bill....LOL

Lisa, What a wonderful surprise! I am so happy you are making this trip, you do so much for others and it's time to do something for you and yours! Lauren, I am with you, Jet Blue is awesome so it Delta Song, they have TV's on the back of the chairs that are great and the staff is so laid back and sweet. It's worth going to JFK for sure. You are beautiful inside and out and don't need a single other adornment but if tatoos are your treat then you go for it and don't let anyone tell you otherwise. I can't wait to hear all about it on your return, enjoy! Cheryl
