Protein Train Update
Well this is the start of day 3

.
Yesterday was a bit easier for me personally than the day before but I know that was probably a fluke......

Breakfast..........6oz proplete gold vanilla pineapple shake, 8 oz magnesium drink
20 oz decaf coffee with half and half and splenda
32 oz water
Lunch.......All in One white choc raspberry bar
32 oz crystal lite iced tea
snack before meeting.......3 oz of cheese
32 oz crystal lite iced tea
dinner......shrimp ****tail (5-6 shrimp), about 1/2 cup of french onion soup if that.......too much bread in it. I tried to just have the broth onions and soup
so that turned out to be about 800 calories, 80 grams of protein and over 120 oz of fluids
Gots to say it seems to be paying off. I am down 5 pounds

since monday but........that is not official since it has to stay off for a few days for me to truly believe it.
Have a good day everyone and those of you with me on this train lets keep taking it one day at a time and chug along.

Linda-
Fantastic! It goes to show...adding those carbs slows us down. I am probably too early for the protein train...but I will ride the caboose!
NO carbs for me today..once you start its hard to stop. Cold turkey for me! OK..off to make my food log...Congratulations on a good start! Yep..you ARE my inspiration!

See? That's perfect, 5 pounds in 3 days is awesome, this isn't meant to drop a bunch of weight but it may jumpstart you again. I think our bodies get used to what we eat and just stall. You need to shock them into thinking they are newly pre op again. I am so happy it's working for you and Kathy B. Keep it up if you can, one day at a time, don't look beyond the one day. We can do anything for one day. For God's sake, don't you remember the banana diet??? LOL
love you
Cheryl
Day 3 for me too! Yesterday wasn't necessarily easier, I was much more hungry, but I got through ok.
In total I had 1139 calories, 109 carbs (all from protein bars) and 101 protein!
Here's what I had:
B - Dexatrim All-In-One Bar
Decaf coffee with fat free 1/2 and 1/2
4 sections of a clementine
L - Campbells Vegetarian Vegetable Soup
Detour Bar
S - Decaf Tea with Pro-Stat 64 in it
3 oz chicken breast w/ salsa
Post Carb Well Cereal Bar
D - Greek Salad
I too think I've lost 4 or 5 lbs. This is great
But, like Linda, I'll wait a week before I'll consider it official!
God Bless,
Kathy Bilodeau

YOU GO GIRLS!!!!!!

That is awesome. I do have a question for you all while I have your attention. How many ounces of liquid do you drink at a time. I feel like I can't drink enough. It's an every day struggle for me. At 4 months out how much liquid was everyone consuming?
You ladies are doing great. Thanks for being such an inspiration.

Hi Julie,
I am probably not the right one to ask this because I drink 120 oz or so every day. I carry around a 32 oz bottle with me where ever I go and drink constantly. I switch off from water to crystal lite iced tea and now decaf coffee. Some people find warm liquids go down easier......I do like the decaf but I just started that about 11 months out. Broth, decaf tea. I actually have a drinking schedule that I try to stick to. I try to get 32 oz in before lunch and then another 32 before dinner. Everything else is gravey so to speak. You are doing great but do try to get more liquids in.
Linda

Julie,
Did you know that is my favorite name?? I wanted to name my girls Julia but my husband prevailed. I think it sounds so pretty.
Anyway, I wanted to tell you, I too just keep a bottle of something near me all day. Lately I've been drinking flavored Propel water because I need the electrolytes, but other than that I always had water near me this way I'd drink it. I think it helped a lot with my weight loss for sure. But just remember to wait 20 min before and after eating.
By the way, YOU LOOK GREAT!!
love
Cheryl
Thank you so much for responding. I always have a drink with me too. Just seems liks I never get in enough. I am working on it though and I always wait at least 20 min's to drink after I eat but before not as strict on. I love your new pic. You look awesome. Thanks again so much.

Oh , Quick question. How did you determine what your goal weight would be? Personally I would feel completly successful at 150...... But I don't know how realistic that is. Thanks
