OT: I'M GETTIN' MARRIED ....

Hello gang!! I've written many times about my boyfriend John, and some of you met him at the gathering in September. He's been a wonderful gift to me. He met me when I weighed 252 lbs. and loved me then, as he loves me now. Well, last night we went into NYC for a book release party (he was covering it for the newspaper he edits), then we went to Rockefeller Center to see the Christmas tree. When we got close to the tree he turned me around & got on his knee & asked me to marry him!! I think you can guess that I said yes!! I'm so happy that he came into my life, and I'm happy that he knew me before the surgery ... when I told him I was going to have the surgery, he said that he would support me and help me any way he could, and he "liked ME." I knew right then that this was the guy. I had been waiting a long, long time to hear someone say that. So, now the process of picking a date, picking a venue, figuring out how the heck we can afford a reception, etc., begins. Ack!!!!!!! Wish me luck!! Kathy F.

Oh Kathy, Let me be the first to shout out CONGRATULATIONS!!! I am so happy for you as I thought long ago John was a keeper. He has really stood by you and been your best cheerleader.
