Hello Everyone, Well most of you know about my 4 month plateau so I thought that I would ask if anyone wants to join Kathy B and I on the protein train. We are trying to kick start our weight loss once again by getting back to basics. Pretty much eating protein bars and drinking protein drinks with a little bit of regular protein thrown in. So far today we have done pretty good....... I think I am going to bed soon so I don't start snacking . Anyway by my calculations I have had about 900 calories and 109 grams of protein 40 grams of carbs and 100+ oz of fluid. So I am sure I have cut my calories in half which is a good thing. I am shooting for one day at a time. So if anyone wants to join us let me know so we can help each other out. This is not meant for you newbies as it is pretty much what you are already doing but for those longer term post ops who want to get back to basics for a bit. Have a great night and GOOOOOO Huskies!!!! Linda

Hi Linda, Let me know if it is working and I will use it when I get stuck on plateau or need to lose more weight. I am proud of you for no snack before go to bed. I do not have no time for snack because I go to personal trainer from 7 to 800 pm on tuesdays and 6 to 700 pm on thursdays and saturdays. I was not hungry but drink alot of water. My problem is I refused to go to weight on because I am afraid to find out if I am not lose my weight or not but I said to myself that I will weight myself once every monthly than check it every weekly. GOOD LUCK KATHY B and LINDA Hugs Kathy k

Congratulations on the "protein train"! I want to know if this works for you and Kathy--because I know my day is coming soon--for a plateau. My weight slowed for three weeks-but I do believe the scale to move a bit. Hugs Joanie

Hi Lin The other thing Kim and I did was track our food on fitday.com it's free and easy to use. It makes you get your fluid in too. Keep telling yourself it's one day and then once you get past that one day you realize you can do another. I am your personal cheerleader I know you and Kathy can break this nasty plateau!! Huskies looked GREAT last night!!! love that Boone! love Cheryl

Hi Cheryl, Yes, I'm tracking on Fitday.com. This IS helping me -- its not easy, but I think its working. I need to get myself back in check, and this is forcing me to do it. Thanks so much for reaching out to me and giving me such a great suggestion. Love ya, Kathy Bilodeau

I've been riding the protein train a lot lately as well, so I might as well climb aboard with you. I've been doing a lot of bars and shakes as well as the Carb Well cereal bars and Carb Countdown smoothies. Good luck and go Huskies!!!! Maggie

I'm glad that Linda thought to invite others to join us.... I need all the support I can get, so if you are interested - join in, and we'll help each other out. I had 880 calories; 80 carbs and 95 protein yesterday -- less than 1/2 of what I normally have. I know I need more discipline, and this is helping me alot. I've been having a real battle with head hunger - and it has been winning. Since I've been on such a long plateau, my strength and determination has gone through the window -- I need this to help to get back on track. Thanks to Cheryl for the suggestion, and thanks to Linda for joining me on this journey. Keep us in your prayers, we need it! This is NOT easy, but oh so worth it! God Bless, Kathy Bilodeau

Kathy, I have not posted in a very long time. Now, that I realize I am having "head hunger" as you put it, I am realizing that I can't do it alone and that I have to get back to basics. I came on tonight and I am going to join your protein train! I may not get a chance to post frequently, but I will log in and follow you when I can. Good luck and I appreciate the motivation.
