No FOOD LOG? I'll starve!!
Did I miss something? Where are ya Joanie?
I have to admit it, I steal ideas for what I'm going to eat off the food log.
Here's what I'm having today:
B-Atkins Shake ... Does anyone drink these??
L-3 oz. tuna fish w/pickles/celery/mayo
S-Mint tea w/SN'L
D-Beef fajitas w/salsa/cheese
S-SF chai tea

I get my ideas from it too! ;) I don't drink the Atkins shake, but I know Sandy drinks them (not sure if she still does, but she did at the beginning, before she was the running marathon woman!).
B - low fat cottage cheese (2 oz.)
L - 1/2 meatball
D - taco mix with cheese (no shell)
S - s/f kozy pudding (I stole this idea from Maggie - the tapioca is the BOMB). ;)

Michelle, I love my atkins shakes. I went to vitalady.com and got some of the flavored syrups to put in them as well. Yummy!!

I have felt so lost the past few days w/out the food log. I hope all is well with Joanie!
I personally can't stand Atkin's shakes. I thought maybe my tastes have changed since the first few post-op days, but I still don't like them!
B- Carb COuntdown Chocolate Milk
S- 2oz Tuna
L-Hard bolied egg & 1 Tbs cottage cheese
S- SF Chai Latte
S- Protein Drink (before swim class, good thing the pool is heated!)
D- leftover chicken

WOW! It is really interesting to see the foods everyone can still eat with modifications! REally good resource and information as I am only a few days post op!
Where do you all get your food ideas? Is it just trying new things and seeing if it works? other people? I can't get over the different selections!

Joanie usually posts a food log everyday. I know I often get suggestions from the posts! A lot of it is trial and error though. Not everything sits well with each person, but you don't know until you try.
Even though you are only a few days post-op, join in and post what you're "drinking".
I also find it helps me plan my day and eat better!

Thanks ALL your posts made me smile!! Glad you missed me! I have been busy with wrapping presents and then Sunday we went to see Tim at Mohegan Sun! He was awesome...I loved the show. We had a nice dinner and met some friends after the show. My DH is not much of a gambler..so I played slots for a while and then went back to the room at 1am..and my husband was hungry...so we had an early breakfast! At 2am..I headed back to the casino and he went to bed. I didn't get bac****il 4:30am!! Woke up at 9am and hung around the room...hubby went down and brought up some coffee and I mixed up a protein shake! We left there around noon..and I headed to work from there. What a great weekend...romantic to boot! My DH was so attentive...and sweet! He is always that way..but I actually felt good about it all---having some new added self esteem! Here is the rest of my eating day...
L-chicken salad on a small green salad w/lite dressing
D-Lemon chicken w/ spinach
I will be back on top of things tomorrow..thanks for missing me!
